Jackalope gun shop is a full service gunsmith and custom rifle shop in Douglas Wyoming. The shop has been in the same location for over 50 years. We specialize in custom rifles, wildcat cartridges; rebarreling, chambering, shotgun chokes installation and the latest in glass and pillar bedding.
We have over 45 years experience. This shop has built custom rifles for clients all over the world. All of our work is guaranteed to be right the first time. All of our custom rifles are guaranteed to shoot at least a ½ inch group.
We are equipped to do precision barrel work in all the standard calibers and a lot of wildcats. If you have some wildcat in mind please let us know. We may have just what you want, or we can get it .We can also help you design your own wildcat cartridge.
We have over 100 reamers in stock. All our chambers are cut by hand with high quality reamers on precision lathes, no production type chambers. We use only the finest barrel blanks available. We prefer Douglas XX Air gauged barrels for hunting rifles and Douglas XX Air gauged premium barrels for target and bench rest rifles. Our standard barrels are turned on contour equipment and sized will be close to the contour diagrams in the barrel contour section. Special contours and duplicates of present barrel contours are available. Our custom barrels are ripple free and have that truly custom look and performance desired in fine custom rifles.
